Growing up, Jenn always knew she wanted to be a teacher—specifically a kindergarten teacher. Although her path to the classroom took a few detours, she ultimately found where she truly belongs: teaching preschool at Beyond Our Dreams.
Jenn began working with children early on, starting as a babysitter before pursuing a Social Work diploma at Fleming College. She then continued her studies there to earn her Educational Assistant diploma. Life took her in a different direction for a few years as she worked in real estate, but everything came full circle after she became a mom. While searching for a preschool for her first son, Jenn discovered Beyond Our Dreams—a place that became not only the perfect fit for him but also the start of her own teaching journey. Her second son later attended the same school, making it an even more special part of her family’s story.
Jenn lives in Oshawa with her husband and two sons. She is passionate about early education and continues to build her knowledge to create the best possible learning experiences for her students.
From an early age, Jessi felt a deep calling to work with young children at the start of their educational journey. Her passion for early learning led her to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education and has allowed her to dedicate over 13 years to nurturing the growth and development of preschoolers.
In her classroom, Jessi fosters a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and eager to learn. She embraces a play-based approach to education, believing that curiosity and creativity are the foundations of lifelong learning. Through hands-on exploration, storytelling, imaginative play, and movement, she encourages her students to build confidence, independence, and a love of discovery.
Jessi finds the greatest joy in witnessing her students’ moments of achievement—whether it’s learning to share, recognizing letters, or completing a project that fills them with pride. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and seeking fresh ideas to inspire her teaching practice.

During her time at Durham College, she was specially selected as the only student in her program to complete a placement in a Behavioural Assessment Class—an experience that deepened her understanding of individualized learning and behavioural support.
As a proud mother of two daughters, a cavapoo puppy, and a wife of 11 years, Kirsten brings a nurturing and family-centered perspective to her teaching. She is known for creating a fun, loving, and supportive classroom environment where children feel valued and inspired to learn.
